    We are Blind Feline

A young Kentucky three piece defying genre boundaries.
Lost in the Moss is dripping with a saucey mixture of themes such as psychedelia, nature, romance, nostalgia, death, and SOUP!

Lost in the Moss: writers notes

    1. Big Soup on the River
A song about a wild night down at the majestic Red River Gorge of Kentucky, where my friend Ty made a 30 gallon pot of soup, found out our friend Chickenwang was actually a giant carp fish with a beard and our buddy Drake was actually Kid Rock, swam with the watersnakes, and offered our soup to the campers nearby. We were very hospitable with our offerings, but very adamant. We politely demanded closure on whether or not the people around wanted to partake in eating our delicious soup, but they, being a good 2 to 3 hundred feet away through thick brush, refused to answer to our polite offering. Therefore we continued to offer our soup to them for 14 hours straight, sometimes speaking in the 3rd person omnipresent, hoping that they would at least let us know a yes or no. But they never did, and so we had way to much soup for the 4 boys there to eat on our own. Thus began the rekindling of the ancient tradition of, BIG SOUP ON THE RIVER.

    2. The Meadow
The Meadow is a place deep in the woods of Cumberland Gap, TN that me and my childhood bois founded. It is a paradise of kudzu vines swirling into beautiful canopies above the mossy floor where the bois and I could get away from daily life. The song is a description of this place and all its mystical psychedelic secrets.

    3. Roger Goins
This is a fun little song that may generate nostalgia if you happened to attend Cumberland Gap High School. Roger was not necessarily the best person in the world, but he was certainly one of a kind. Although most people didn't realize, he was genuinely intellegent, but highly misunderstood. R.I.P.

    4. Eagles Blood / Pineal Gland
This one has a mixture of themes including an internal struggle of romance, a tribute to an unbreakable bond of friendship, and a facemelting 24 hr psychedelic experience in the woods, as well as parallels to a story of a soldier during the time of the Civil war in TN.

    5. Daisies
This one reflects on the hard times. During these times writing songs were the only way to get through. And trusting in my gut instincts was important, realizing that times of adversity result in progression.
Features: Blakeley Burger on the fiddle and Chris Cupp on the mandolin

    6. One 4 the Road
One 4 the Road was written in Alicante, Spain, in a drunken mascarade throught the depraved streets. It reflects on addiction, lust, and finding solace in the gutters of an unknown city.

    Oliver Sayani: Songwriter/guitar/vox
    Matthew Griffin: Drums/vox
    Benjamin Bossert: Bass/vox

The Meadow 03:49
Down beside the train tunnel up on the hill there was a place the triceratops lived and where the buffalo used to roam The park ranger is on my ass We don't give a **** we're just smoking grass Give me liberty or give me death Sound as the fumes roll Up from the street The song of the pharaoh Place where the kids go Mad from the heat Into The Meadow... I went to get a drink out of the creek Crawdad fishing been drunk for weeks and I don't know which way's north or south Got a broke down compass and I outta food Just stuck out here in a real rude mood Let the ego fly into the wind Sound as the fumes roll Up from the street The song of the pharaoh Place where the kids go Mad from the heat Into The Meadow... (Marlene) My limbs are weak and I'm pale as snow I see hallucinations out my rooms window Of a bullfrog army in the yard Their nemesis were the mantises 5 foot tall with some big ass claws But the bull from king holding double M16s Just ended it all... Sound as the fumes roll Up from the street The song of the pharaoh Place where the kids go Mad from the heat Into The Meadow...

Feeling tired and I'm drifting off half a bottle into the night Early morning fore the break of day I'll be up and ready to fight What's the reason for to spill this blood Is it land money or esteem It's brother fight against brother out here Ain't a pretty sight to see, yeah Eagles Blood Dry Gin Wash down the lightening on this purple mountain Eagles Blood Dry Gin Break down the doors of perception Pineal Gland I used to think she was a waste of time that I couldn't be free Then I had a strong feeling inside I had to love her tenderly Now I sit here in the pouring rain 100 miles from my home I just think about her sweet nature and fight battle of my soul, yeah Eagles Blood Dry Gin Wash down the lightening on this purple mountain Eagles Blood Dry Gin Break down the doors of perception Pineal Gland

Daisies 02:41
Come on home Let's have a party Let's have a good time Pour it on everyone's excited but there's something deeper on your mind My livelihood is at stake and my home's been compromised Sometimes I get lower than low Sometimes I get lower than low Baby I'm so alive Daisies bout to grow Sit down get myself some paper Then I get myself a pen Write down exactly what I'm thinking I feel like myself again I'll let you put your cards on the table Mine are still in my hand Sometimes I get lower than low Sometimes I get lower than low Baby I'm so alive Daisies bout to grow I always trust In my gut It never lies That's what I said the time before But now I made up my mind Sometimes I get lower than low Sometimes I get lower than low Baby I'm so alive Daisies bout to grow

Got my mind in a tango I said I'd show you step Nothing to do I'm just lost in Alicante with a pack of Rothman cigarettes A little bit of money Enough for a drink or three One for the road x3 Dance with me Girls are drinking tequila at a fish joint by the sea Silly boy why you drink Jack Daniels Sangria just ain't my cup of tea You can take the rhythm I will take the lead One for the road x3 Dance with me It's 4 in the morning I sneak out of the hotel The streets go to shambles Like the night Constantinople fell My intentions are tawdry From the toxins in the air I breath One for the road x3 Dance with me
